One person is dead, and another is charged with murder after a shooting in Washington County this weekend.
That happened in Chappell Hill specifically on Sunday night, on Chadwick Hogan Street. There, officers found a man with a gunshot wound, and also found the suspect.
The victim, 43 year old Larry Deshaye Hardman of Chappell Hill was pronounced dead upon EMS arrival. Arrested then was 35 year old Justin Jervan Thomas of Chappell Hill, who was charged with murder.
Thomas is in jail on bonds totaling $750,000.
An investigation is ongoing.
