Shooting in College Station neighborhood leads to arrest of Navasota man

November 23, 2020 by Andre Perrard

A Navasota man was arrested in College Station early Sunday, after reportedly trying to shoot someone at a party.

Authorities say that 21 year old Zachary Reyes of Navasota was asked to leave the house in the Emerald Forest Subdivision.

Reyes fired multiple shots at the man who asked him to leave, according to the probable cause statement. No one was injured during the shooting.

Reyes left, and was found three miles away at an apartment. Upon searching him, police found two guns, an undisclosed amount of 20 and 100 dollar bills, THC cartridges, marijuana and a digital scale.

Reyes was arrested, and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Marijuana.

He remains in the Brazos County jail on bonds totaling $83,000.
