Three people are in jail after waiving a gun around and making threats in Navasota yesterday afternoon.
Navasota Police responded around 6 pm to the 500 block of Laredo, and the vehicle ran when officers tried initiating a stop. The pursuit went through town for a short time, before the suspects crashed into two parked cars on West Virginia Street.
From there, the suspects fled on foot. Two were eventually apprehended, identified as 25 year old Anthony Woods, and 22 year old Quantavious Moore, both of Navasota. Authorities also recovered a stolen firearm.
A third suspect fled and barricaded themselves into a home in the 400 block of Ella Street. After a brief time, 28 year old Dreion Moore of Navasota exited the residence, and was arrested. Several firearms were also seized at the home on Ella Street.
Woods was charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Evading on Foot, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Woods also had five active warrants, one from College Station Police for Deadly Conduct, and four from NPD for various issues.
Dreion Moore was charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest on Foot, Failure to Comply Striking Other Vehicle, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He was also waned for parole violation for Assault on a Public Servant.
Quantavius Moore was charged only with Evading Arrest on Foot.
Assisting NPD in the case was the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, Texas DPS, and the ATF.
