A Singleton woman is in the Brazos County jail for the second time since April on multiple drug charges.
28 year old Janie Jones of Singleton was pulled over early Friday on Texas Avenue for running a red light, and failing to signal a left turn. The Bryan Police arrest report states that the officer noticed Jones refuse to turn her head towards him, and kept her body rigid.
During the stop, the officer found prescription bottles not in her name. Jones refused consent to search the vehicle, so a K-9 Unit was requested.
The dog detected drugs, and officers found what is believed to be heroin, methamphetamine, ecstasy, amphetamine, and marijuana. They also found what are believed to be records and phones used for drug sales, plus a reported stolen laptop.
Jones remains in jail on bonds totaling $63,000. She also faces a motion to revoke probation, following a guilty plea to drug charges in Brazos and Burleson County.
