Skeletal remains found in Grimes County last month identified as Houston man

August 4, 2021 by Andre Perrard

Skeletal remains found near Todd Mission in July have been formally identified.

Authorities determined that those remains were that of 63 year old Mark Robertson of Houston.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, their investigators plus volunteers from Alpha Search Recovery followed a lead July 17th to the property, near Greenway Drive and FM 1774. Around 9 am that day, they found the remains, which were not buried, in a secluded area.

The remains were transported for forensic identification in Dallas through dental records. A cause of death has not yet been determined.

Robertson was reported missing June 17th, with friends reportedly last speaking to him on May 31st. Robertson is believed to have arrived in the area in late May or early June.

If you have any information regarding the case, you are encouraged to contact the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office at 836-873-6436, and ask to speak with Investigator John Jones.
