Slight Tax Increases are in the Mail

November 5, 2014 by Willy1550

The Grimes County Appraisal District wishes to remind you this week of the scripture, “render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s.” That’s right. It’s property tax bill time again.

Chief Appraiser Bill Sullivan tells Navasota News, check your mailbox as you’ll see some modest increases even though tax rates have remained steady, overall he says this is not a year of significant increases.

But there are some changes, as interest in land continues to grow Sullivan continues some properties values have increased.

He says make sure you look over your statement and verify everything is correct.

And if you don’t have enough to cover the entire bill, Sullivan says you can make partial payments, but whatever isn’t paid off by February 1st will be subject to penalties and interest charges.

For more information or to find out how to pay, go to grimescad.org or call 936-873-21-63
