Spring events canceled by pandemic last year return to Iola ISD for 2021

March 16, 2021 by Andre Perrard

Iola ISD has announced that some Spring events, which had to be tossed out due to the pandemic restrictions last year, are returning for 2021!

According to a release from the district on Friday, they are bringing back numerous events, including the Senior Trip and Prom, for this Spring.

The events will be open to full spectator capacity, with the only restriction being masks are required for anyone over the age of 10 years. According to the release, those are required to participate in the events.

Elementary schools will be having their usual awards and graduation ceremonies on the week of May 24th through 27th. For the secondary schools, the Iola Band Banquet, Athletic Banquet, FFA Banquet, Senior Prom and the Senior Trip are all returning, just to name a few.

Graduation is scheduled for Iola High School on May 29th at 10 am in the school gym.

The district says they are bringing the events back to provide a sense of normalcy to wrap up the school year.

The full list of events returning for Spring 2021 can be found at iolaisd.net.
