With a whole new year ahead of us, the City of Navasota is once again taking some time to look back, and hopes you can be at the Navasota Center Tuesday to hear this year’s State of the City Address.
City Manager Brad Stafford explains how the annual message is now more widely available, thanks to one local journalist, Scott McDonald’s recommendations that the City dedicate an event to it instead of filing it in with the City Counsel meetings.
Not only will mayor Bert Miller speak to the “challenges and opportunities” the City faces, Stafford continues, but the Navasota Independent School District will present its own perspective from Superintendent Rory Gesch.
To get in on the meal, you must RSVP with the Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce last week, he continues, but even without lunch, it’ll still be a must see event, knowing what your city has, and is accomplishing.
That’s this year’s state of the city address, from 11:30 to 1 Tuesday January 13th afternoon at the Navasota Center, 101 stadium drive. For more information call the Chamber at 825-6600.
