A Saturday afternoon high speed chase that began in Grimes County ended in College Station, and a suspect remaining at large.

Police say that 33 year old Matthew Jarrett of College Station allegedly flashed a handgun while driving a stolen vehicle in Navasota.

When authorities tried stopping him, Jarrett took off down Highway 6, where speeds reached over 100 miles per hour.

The chase finally ended in College Station, near the Edelweiss neighborhood and Graham.

Jarrett evaded capture, and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact 979-764-3000.

Authorities say he is believed to be armed and dangerous.
