Two Navasota High School teachers are back in the classroom today after being suspended for drug-related offenses. NISD Superintendent Dr. Stu Musick confirmed to Navasota news the arrest first of Ashley Craft, and later of Charles Foster, both for driving drunk.
A third teacher, however, wasn’t as fortunate. Musick reports the arrest of Freddie Stoglin, son of Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Patrick Goodman, for possession of marijuana.
Musick tells Navasota News is was his second incident this year, and due to the follow-up information our investigation has turned up, he will now be returning to the classroom. Musick says he doesn’t think three drug-related offenses among district staff just since he became superintendent is a systemic problem, but more like a freaky anomaly.
And though even one such incident is unacceptable, Musick says the important thing is that district policies are in place and will be followed to convey to everyone on the NISD staff that the highest expectations are always expected of everyone.
