An accident near the Grimes County line Friday afternoon resulted in the death of a Dallas area teen.
According to Texas DPS, a motorcyclist was attempting to pass an 18-wheeler on State Highway 90 near the County line.
Troopers say the motorcyclist tried to swerve back into his lane to avoid oncoming traffic, lost control and crashed underneath the trailer of the 18-wheeler.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 19-year-old Brandon Salinas of Grand Prairie. Salinas died at the scene and was not wearing a helmet.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
