If you’ve been suffering with bouts of depression, anxiety or something else, you probably already know about TeleHealth counseling. It’s been has serving those in such need in the County of Grimes for a year now. And the Navasota Clinic’s Director says it’s made great strides in the lives of many residents since then.
Dr. Carly McCord tells Navasota News this is the fourth such clinic to begin receiving services, and she wants to continue building relationships with the residents of Grimes County whatever their issue may be.
Unfortunately, Texas ranks next to the bottom in the nation in state mental health spending, McCord adds, but this program is a step in the right direction. And another, she goes on, is there’s not so much of a stigma attached to seeking help these days.
You can see for yourself how the program helps heal others Tuesday evening (07/21) at the anniversary celebration in the Grimes Health Resource Center. You’re invited to come see the facilities and meet with senior doctoral students who make the program work. The party runs from 4 to 7. For more call 936-870-4575.
