Texas Ag Commissioner Speaks About THC and Upcoming Legislative Consideration

January 14, 2025 by Willy1550

Once the State Legislature starts considering bills, one of the first to be considered is the Lieutenant Governor’s call to ban all consumption of THC products. That would include legislations passed six years ago regarding Hemp production.

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, whose office wrote the rules, brought up the unintended consequences during a recent visit on WTAW.

Miller is opposed to recreational use of marijuana but remains a supporter of its medicinal use.

Miller says at a minimum, there needs to be age restrictions, noting there is evidence of second and third grade students having THC gummies in their pockets.
