Texas A&M Bonfire Memorial Structures Being Cleaned Today Ahead of 24th Annual Remembrance Of Collapse

November 3, 2023 by Willy1550

The gateway structures at the Bonfire Memorial are being cleaned today. This comes two weeks before the 24th annual remembrance of the Bonfire collapse at Texas A&M.

For the first time, participants will include the Brazos Valley chapter of the University of Texas alumni group Texas Exes.

President Walter Hinkle says the idea came from their treasurer, Amy Vance, who works at A&M.

The Exes will clean the portal of Michael Ebanks, who was one of the 12 Aggies who died. The president of the local Exes chapter, Walter Hinkle, says today’s participation is to also remember Ebanks father…who was an active member in the Exes until his unexpected death in September.

The cleaning is organized by the staff at A&M’s art galleries.
