Texas Department of Public Safety Offices Still Recovering From CrowdStrike Incident

July 22, 2024 by Willy1550

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) continues to be impacted by the Global CrowdStrike incident. CrowdStrike has confirmed that this is not a security incident or cyberattack but is related to a defect in a content update for Windows hosts.

While some driver license offices may reopen on Monday July 22, others, particularly those in rural areas and county buildings, may remain closed or have appointments cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we continue to monitor and evaluate the impact.

We are working diligently to notify our customers about cancellations. These notifications will be sent by text or email. Please be sure to monitor your inbox and text messages for updates on your appointment status.

We encourage you to check the DPS website for updates on office openings throughout the week.
