Texas Downtown Association paying visit to Navasota on Friday to check out updated areas

May 11, 2022 by Willy1550

If you are meandering around downtown Navasota this coming Friday, and see a group of folks observing newly renovated areas of it, that will be the Texas Downtown Association making a visit.

“They are going to take a look at the alley ways, behind buildings, the new structures that are renovated, and give us some pointers on things to do, concerns they might see,” said city manager Jason Weeks at Monday’s city council meeting. “They will be here all day, meet with staff in the morning, then we will have a lunch and go over some small things they might have noticed.”

He said as well that day, the Pretty City Committee will be out in downtown cleaning planter boxes that day.

For more information on joining the Pretty City Committee, contact the city at 936-825-6475.
