Navasota’s blessed with two community Thanksgiving events this year. The first one’s a Feast Saturday November 19th as a-half dozen churches congregate in the Family Life Center of Navasota’s First Presbyterian Church.
Organizer Elmary Wells says the free feast is being sponsored by the Navasota Citywide Mission. And, just like any other big Thanksgiving dinner, it’ll include all the classic dishes and trimmings.
Wells tells Navasota News they are looking for volunteers. And if that’s you, just give them a call at 936-825-1429.
If not, that’s okay too. The Community Thanksgiving Feast’s at 11 Saturday morning in the First Presbyterian Church’s Family Life Center.
Then Sunday evening at 6, the church also hosts the community’s annual Thanksgiving worship service, sponsored by the Grimes County Minister’s Fellowship, and featuring Pastor Jeremy Woodley of the First United Methodist Church bringing the message.
