The current chief executive officer of the company in charge of the high speed passenger train project between Houston and Dallas appears before state lawmakers. But members of the Texas House transportation committee and landowners and county officials are not given answers to their questions about the status of the Texas Central project.
Grimes County judge Joe Fauth was among those in favor of a house bill that would require high speed rail companies to provide the state the same information they give to the federal government.
Texas Central’s CEO, Michael Bui of FTI Consulting in Houston, is opposed to House Bill 2347.
HB 2347 has been reported favorably and has been recommended to be moved to the House calendars committee.
