An SSA news release says most people receiving social security retirement benefits will get an average increase of 50 dollars a month starting in January. Recipients will learn their new benefit amounts, reflecting a three point two percent increase for social security and SSI, on their individual accounts in early December.
That notification will also include next year’s changes for beneficiaries who are also enrolled in Medicare.
