Theft of body sprays at College Station Walmart lands former Navasota man in jail on his 5th theft charge

A former Navasota man with previous theft convictions was thrown in jail two days before his birthday for stealing body sprays from the College Station Walmart.

College Station Police’s arrest report says they received a call for theft in progress on Friday morning. Officers found the suspect leaving the store, and were given consent to search him. On his person, officers found the reported stolen body spray.

Walmart employees confirmed him to the the man who came in, and took the body sprays. Video surveillance footage showed the man place several of the sprays into his jacket, and pants pocket.

48 year old Louis Blackshear Jr. of College Station, formerly Navasota, was arrested, and charges with Theft of Property under $2,500, with two or more prior convictions. At last check, he remains in jail on bonds which total $5,000.
