There’re big changes in store for the Grimes County Seat, as leadership in the Anderson-Shiro Consolidated Independent School District is going through a major renovation.
Beside recent resignations from the district’s Athletic Director, and High School Principal, the Superintendent has also announced she’s leaving, too.
Superintendent Sarah Goolsby says as a leader and educator who wants to continue challenging herself professionally, she believes that now is the time for her to seek new opportunities elsewhere.
While Goolsby would not reveal to Navasota News either why the Athletic Director or Principal decided to leave, or where they will be going, she stressed that both have left lasting impacts on the student body.
But for now, the lame-duck superintendent stresses, the real question is who will replace them? And that, she replies, will be answered in time.
Goolsby says she will remain in her position until the end of the year. And in the meantime we at Navasota News will be keeping an eye on the upcoming Anderson-Shiro School Board Elections, and report both on the decision of district voters as to the board’s new make-up, and, in time, the impact that will have on the district itself.
