Toddler killed in weekend 4-wheeler crash near Plantersville

November 16, 2022 by Andre Perrard

A toddler was killed in Grimes County this last weekend after an ATV crash.

Grimes County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Lieutenant David Use says it happened on Sunday, November 13th in Plantersville’s Pinebrook Subdivision. Three siblings were riding a 4-wheeler: a 12 year old girl, a 6 year old boy, and a toddler.

According to Use, the 12 year old sister took the ATV without permission, and was holding onto the toddler with one arm.

The 4-wheeler flipped as they tried travelling into a wooded area, and hit a tree.

The toddler was pronounced deceased at CHI St. Joseph in Navasota. The 12 year old girl was treated for minor injuries.

No further information was released.
