A North Zulch man was arrested on numerous drug charges plus a weapon charge after a traffic accident in Bryan last week.
The Bryan Police arrest report says they responded to the crash on Briarcrest Drive around 11 am last Thursday. Officers noted damage enough to call a tow truck for a 2000 Dodge pickup, and talked to the driver, who was identified as 29 year old Ethan Daniel Craft of North Zulch.
The officer could smell marijuana odor emitting from Craft, and asked if he had any weed. Craft said no, but did state he smoked earlier that day. The officer saw a large bulge in Craft’s front pocket, and smelled raw marijuana. The report noted Craft became nervous, adjusting his pants.
Craft stated he had “a little bit” and forgot. Also found in his pocket was a prescription bottle with white tablets, identified later as Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, stating he had been hurt and work and got them from someone. Craft then told the officer he had a firearm as well in his waistband, a .22 caliber Amadeo Rossi revolver.
In the end, Craft was arrested, and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Possession of Marijuana Under 2 Ounces, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was released on Friday after posting an $8,800 bond.
