On Monday, February 26th, 2024, the Texas Department of Public Safety and Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, executed a narcotics search warrant in Iola at a residence off FM 244.
After almost a two-month joint investigation, Special Agents with the Texas Department of Public Safety and Grimes County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigator were able to pinpoint where a substantial amount of methamphetamine was being sold and distributed.
On Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, at approximately 6:50 PM, the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on FM 244 near Trinity Avenue in northern Iola for a defective brake light. The male driver was identified as Russel Ray Reed, who was arrested for the Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 >=4G<200G, with the assistance of the K9 Unit from the Todd Mission Police Department.
