A couple of weeks after the 2012 Navasota Rattlers were named a top 100 team of all time in Texas, and a vote ensued to make them a top 10 team of all time, there is now a vote open for another prominent Navasota athlete to be enshrined as an all time player in the state.
According to Navasota ISD, the UIL is also opening a vote up for the top 100 players in state history, their UIL 100 years, 100 players list, and Navasota’s Tren’Davian Dickson from the 2014 Rattlers is up for vote.
Dickson won the 2014 state championship with the Rattlers, and holds the state record for touchdown receptions in a career with 76, and touchdown receptions in a single season at 39. In his junior and senior years, Dickson amassed over 3,600 receiving yards and 63 touchdowns.
Voting will go on through this Sunday, November 15th, as UIL released 10 new players each week for the list vote. If Dickson wins the vote, he would be named a top 10 player in state history, and would be honored in Arlington during the state championship game.
