The 53rd Annual Navasota Kiwanis Radio Auction is only two weeks away, and Kiwanis member Bert Miller says almost 100 items, from a chainsaw to getaways at bed and breakfast, have already been donated.
It’s been moved back a week from its original date so’s not to interfere with this year’s treats on the streets, Miller says it’ll be the first Thursday of next month.
“The phone lines will be open from 6:30-8:30,” he continues, and you’ll be able to get your examiner the day before to look over the list or listen to it live.
So if you’re thinking of donating something, he warns, you’d best do it quickly.
You can call Miller’s office to donate, he says, 936-825-6789.
In the decade and a half that he’s been involved in the Navasota Kiwanis, Miller adds that their radio auction here on Navasota News has become the organization’s second largest annual fundraiser in support of Grimes County youth, next only to their dart booth at the Texas Renaissance Festival.
