Two arrested in Navasota when speeding on FM 379 leads to seizure of almost 300 grams of meth

A car speeding on FM 379 is stopped by Navasota Police to find a driver with no license, a passenger with an arrest warrant for violating parole, and a copious amount of drugs.

NPD stopped the car December 5th at the corner of West Washington Avenue and FM 379. The two occupants aforementioned situation led to a search of the vehicle, in which NPD found over 280 grams of meth, 7 grams of a “controlled substance pill,” and drug paraphernalia.

The driver, 56 year old Ronnie Zephyn of Millican, and 36 year old passenger Cebrina Midkiff of Brenham were arrested. They each face a charge of Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 plus a Possession charge of the same nature.

Midkiff was also hit with another substance charge, and is jailed with no bond due to the parole warrant.
