Operation Safe Shield, a non-profit charity organization based in College Station, recently equipped two patrol vehicles from the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office with bullet resistant front windows, side windows, and door panels. It costs their organization around $8500 per vehicle. Operation Safe Shield is expanding its assistance to all seven counties in the Brazos Valley area to include: Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington Counties.
