A house fire in north College Station Saturday afternoon resulted in two occupants being taken to the hospital.
Fire investigators have not determined the cause of the fire at 402 Eisenhower, a home north of University and east of Texas.
Fire trucks were delayed in arriving at the scene due to traffic associated with the Texas A&M football game and navigating the residential street where vehicles were parked on both sides.
Fire damage was confined to a large portion of a bedroom. There was smoke damage throughout the home.
There was enough damage to displace the family of four. Several animals, including cats and guinea pigs, were rescued.
29 firefighters and 12 vehicles responded from College Station fire stations, along with a crew from Bryan. The CSFD news release did not indicate any injuries to firefighters.
