According to a press release from the Grimes County Sheriff’s Department, “On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Grimes County Dispatch received a call regarding a male subject with a gunshot wound. Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, along with Todd Mission Police Department, Navasota Police Department, Grimes County District Attorney’s Office, Grimes County Constable Precinct 3 and the Texas Rangers responded to a residence off of Blue Lake Drive in Plantersville to assist with the investigation.
At the conclusion of the preliminary investigation, the male subject had succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not been released.
Thomas King was arrested and charged with Murder, a 1st degree felony and Aggravated Assault by Threat, Deadly Weapon, Second-degree felony. Rune King was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault by Threat, Deadly Weapon a Second-degree felony.
No further information at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.”
