Texas DPS says they made two arrests in Grimes County July 4th weekend of two men who hid drugs in snack packages.

The two men are facing felony charges, after they were puled over for speeding on July 4th, heading Northbound on Highway 6.

According to the tweet from DPS, they found probable cause to search, and found 339 grams of TCH edibles, over 16 grams of marijuana, and 800 grams of promethazine and codeine. The tweet also said many of the drugs were concealed in candy and cereal packaging.

Also found in the vehicle was a firearm.

Both men were arrested, and identified as 25 year old John David McNeil and 24 year old Richard Davion Jones. They were taken to the Grimes County Jail, and released after posting bond.
