August 28, 2024 by Willy1550

The November election is approaching, and Grimes County has two changes in polling locations, that were decided at the August 21st Commissioners’ Court meeting.

The first on the agenda was moving Precinct 3 voting location from the Progressive Outreach Center to the Carver Building.

Grimes County Elections Administrator, Rachel Walker explained some reasons for the proposed change.

After some discussion and concern about the move, the Court approved moving the location with a 4 to 1 vote.

The second polling location move was from the Richards Volunteer Fire Department to the Thomas Memorial Hall in Precinct 9 in Richards.

Walker also explained to the court reasons for the proposed change for this location.
