A citizen tip leads Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies to the arrest of two individuals on human smuggling charges over the weekend.
The Office says after receiving that tip, they spotted the suspected vehicle on I-45 North in Madison County, near mile marker 152. Inside, officers found 11 undocumented individuals, who were all detained.
In the end, two of the eleven were arrested, and face nine counts each of Human Smuggling. The other nine were documented, and released. The identities of the suspects have yet to be released.
The Madsion County Criminal Investigation Division is working the case, and no further information ahs been released.
