The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has no plans to make Highway 21 a four lane from the Madisonville to the Brazos County line. But if you’re interested in a possible bypass around Madisonville, TxDOT is holding a public hearing Tuesday from five until seven at the convention center, which is located downtown behind the courthouse. Several options are under consideration to loop north and south from Interstate 45 to the west city limits.

More nighttime roadwork is planned in College Station Tuesday. At the corner of Texas and University, multiple lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday until 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. That’s to switch traffic signals and begin taking down the old signal arms.
