The Texas Department of Transportation has started a series of virtual meetings to collect public comment about public transit service for the disabled and for senior citizens.
“This is the opportunity for everyone to let us know what kind of improvements they would like to see on our transit systems,” said Bob Colwell at the TxDOT district office in Bryan. “We ask any, and everyone, to join.”
Colwell pointed out the colleges and universities around the ten county district, which includes Grimes County.
“We have Blinn in Washington County, Sam Houston State in Huntsville, then of course, Texas A&M…we are reaching a diverse need of people, and look forward to them joining us,” said Colwell.
Those living in the district are invited to participate in Tuesaday’s afternoon virtual workshop. You can join anytime between one and three. Find the link at txdot.gov, and in the search bar type the phrase “virtual public workshops”.
