Motorists can expect some construction delays at the Navasota River Bridge on Highway 6 for at least the next 60 days.
The City of Navasota says the TXDOT Maintenance of the bridge began Monday, and will be done in two phases. The first phase includes closing the left lane of Highway 6 Northbound, and the Business 6 Entrance ramp to the highway.
Northbound traffic on Business 6 will be diverted to the FM 3090 Overpass.
Each phase will run for 30 days, and the second phase will begin right after the first is complete.
Work will continue daily, with closures in place at all times.
