TXDOT reducing speed limit for stretch of Highway 30 in Grimes County

October 26, 2020 by Andre Perrard

A speed limit change is coming to one Grimes County road.

According to the TXDOT Bryan District Office, the speed limit on Highway 30, between the Brazos County line and Carlos, will be reduced from 70 miles per hour to 65 miles per hour.

The changes will officially take place on Monday, November 2nd, but TXDOT will have red flags on the new speed limit signs for a few weeks, to alert motorists to the change.

Grimes County TXDOT Maintenance Office is handling the sign changes.

TXDOT reminds motorists to be alert on the roadway, and to be aware of speed limit and other traffic signs.

Any questions can be directed to the Bryan District office at 979-778-9764.
