You may see some TXDOT crews in the county, working on one local, major stretch of road.
“From Highway 6 to Highway 30, there is going to be some improvements being done on that highway. Mainly because…if you have been out there, you can see the huge amount of traffic coming in from the east. And, also heading back the other way,” said Navasota Mayor Bert Miller at Monday evening’s city council meeting.
That road work would be on Highway 90, between Navasota and Highway 30, past Anderson.
“I think it was a good decision on their part. Obviously, it is going to affect Navasota, so, it should be a positive thing,” said Miller.
No start date yet for work on Highway 90.
