Three men are in jail on drug charges after a College Station patrolman decided to follow a car that had made a u-turn in front of him Wednesday afternoon.
According to the arrest report, the car accelerated after the driver noticed he was being followed.
The pursuit from Dowling near Holleman ended with the car entering a business at Wellborn and Harvey Mitchell, driving through the shipping area at the rear in a reckless manner according to an employee, before returning to the front and stopping.
A search of the car led to finding about a half pound of marijuana and three Xanax pills without a prescription.
That led to the arrests of two 18 year old College Station residents, Chandler Busby and Alexander Page.
Police say they learned the drugs were purchased from someone nicknamed “D-Watt”.
19 year old Daniel Watts the second of College Station was arrested at a friend’s apartment after police found a duffle bag containing bars of Xanax, codeine syrup, marijuana, and almost $2,600 dollars cash.
The street value of the seized drugs is at least $2,800 dollars.
