A Navasota Teenager was arrested in College Station Sunday evening, December 20th, charged with breaking into a home.
College Station PD Sergeant Roy Shelton tells Navasota News they received a call from a family in the 300 block of Redmond Dr. who came home and found themselves locked out and someone inside that shouldn’t have been there.
Sargent Shelton says the responding officers found and apprehended the 15-year-old in the immediate area, after being given a brief description of his appearance and seeing the young man jump from a balcony.
Shelton reports the teen was later identified by the home owners as the male they saw, adding that no property was reportedly stolen and the teen’s identity would not be released due to his age.
The Navasota Teen was booked into the Brazos County Juvenile Detention Facility on a charge of Burglary of a Habitation, a second degree felony, which if convicted could land him behind bars for up to 20 years and saddle him with up to $10,000 in fines.
