A few dedicated students from Bizzell Academy are putting together the Grimes County Spelling Bee set for this evening.
And as students from around the county prepare for the competition, Bizzell freshman Kaity Smith and Charity Fulcher tell Navasota News the experience isn’t easy, but they are learning a lot.
Fulcher says 10 schools in Grimes County held their own Bees and the top three students from each are being invited to compete against each other to see which of them, are the county’s best.
And as the pair and their classmates gain experience in managing and promoting an event, Smith hopes, the students taking part in the Bee, will use it to get accustomed to being in the spotlight before moving on to zone level competitions.
The Grimes County Spelling Bee is set for 6:30 Thursday evening Febuary 4th at Brosig Auditorium. And we at Navasota News wish all the students, both in front and behind the scenes the best of luck.
