Union Pacific will be performing repairs to several railroad crossings in the downtown Navasota area. Please watch for detour signs or avoid the crossings. Each crossing will only be closed for a partial day and will reopen in the afternoon.
The closings are as follows:
1) Thursday Jan. 25, 2024 – Blackshear St. and Railroad St. (Behind Brookshire Brothers) – 4:00 to
11:00 AM
2) Friday Jan. 26, 2024 – McAlpine St. and Railroad St. – 4:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
3) Saturday Jan. 27, 2024 – Holland St. and Railroad St. – 4:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Union Pacific will have plenty of detours marked but there may be an increase in 18-wheeler traffic
through the area with the temporary blockage of the truck route.
