United Way of Brazos Valley expecting spike in 2-1-1 Utility Assistance calls as summer temperatures rise

May 16, 2022 by Andre Perrard

Online and on the phone, is a reminder for those needing assistance to contact 2-1-1 Texas, which is administered in our area by United Way of the Brazos Valley.

UWBV president Alison Prince shared the reminder in light of unseasonably hot temperatures and the upcoming summer break.

“I always recommend calling the number, first of all because our specialists are amazing. They know the programs, the things that are changing at organizations around the area, so it is a whole lot quicker to give us a call, and do that work for you, that is what we are here for,” said Prince.

Prince expects calls to 2-1-1 starting next month for utility assistance due to warmer temperatures arriving earlier than usual.
