United Way of Brazos Valley wins grant in online vote, will use money for medical transportation service

September 29, 2021 by Willy1550

Last month, the United Way of the Brazos Valley asked for your help in an online contest for a grant.

Now, in September, UWBV announces they have been selected as a winner from that contest. UWBV is one of 40 national organizations to receive a $25,000 grant, based on the number of people who voted in the contest.

The grant will go towards launching a rideshare program for patients needing transportation to non-emergency health care appointments, mental health services and pharmacies.

If you are interested in being a volunteer driver for the Ride2Health service, more information is online at volunteerbrazosvalley.org.
