In January, United Way of the Brazos Valley begins their every other year work of reviewing grant applications.
Before the application period begins, UWBV president Alison Prince is recruiting people to serve on their review committee.
“We need community volunteers to review those organizations, to help us evaluate where the best place is to invest our funds, and what programs to put them into,” said Prince.
You do not need to be currently associated with United Way.
“Sometimes, it is really helpful to have people outside of our perspective,” said Prince. “If you are looking for a way to get involved in non-profits in our community, the review team is an excellent way o do that.”
