AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ A convicted felon on the Department of Public Safety 10 Most Wanted sex offender list has been caught in North Texas.
DPS on Tuesday announced 28-year-old Ezekiel O’Neal Harris was captured at an apartment complex in Ennis, 30 miles south of Dallas.
A tip led to Harris on Aug. 13. He was wanted for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Harris in 2004 was convicted of sexual assault over an incident in Brenham with a 12-year-old girl. He received 10 years of probation but violated the restrictions, failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements and went to prison.
Harris in April 2013 was freed and moved to Bryan but failed to report of change of address and a warrant was issued.
The tipster gets a $3,000 reward.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has placed a man with ties to Bryan and Brenham on the state’s 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender List.
And DPS has offered a reward of up to $3,000 for the whereabouts of 28 year old Ezekiel O’Neal Harris.

In 2004, Ezekiel HARRIS was found guilty of Sexual Assault from an incident involving a 12-year-old girl that occurred in Brenham, Texas. He received 10 years’ probation. Since then, HARRIS has repeatedly violated his probation and failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
In April 2013, HARRIS was discharged from TDCJ prison and established residency in Bryan, Texas. He subsequently failed to report a change of address, and as a result, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest in May 2013 for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration (Life/Annually).
HARRIS has ties to the Bryan and Brenham, Texas areas.
