A vehicle that was stolen out of Navasota was recovered in Bryan last night.
According to the probable cause statement, the vehicle was a 2017 Ford Taurus that had been reported stolen from the Navasota area on February 4th. Last night, Bryan Police received a report of a possibly stolen vehicle. Upon running the plates, they confirmed it was the Navasota vehicle.
Officers questioned those at the residence where the car was located, where two men stated that a girl named “Ashley” had been driving the vehicle about three days. The woman identified then came to the door, where she was identified at 27 year old Ashley Sustaita of Bryan. Sustaita stated it was her sisters car and she had it about three days.
Two others at the residence confirmed she had been driving the vehicle approximately three days, and upon discovering warrants, Bryan officers made the arrest.
Sustatia is charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and had 4 Bryan Municipal warrants and one Brazos County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
