If you want to perform your civic duty in the November election, the Grimes County Elections Administrator says your paperwork had better be turned in real soon, like at 5pm today .
Rebbeca Duff tells Navasota News you’ll have more time if you qualify for a ballot by mail, as that needs to be turned in by Friday, October 28th.
And exercising your right to vote has been made easier this year Duff continues, as Voter ID laws have been relaxed. If you can’t get an approved photo ID you can sign an affidavit explaining why and bring other forms of proof, like an original birth certificate, current utility bill or others.
And once again Voter Registration ends at 5 Tuesday evening, so get your forms into the registrar’s office as soon as you can. For a full list of alternative forms of identification and more information, call 936-873-4424.
