A Navasota man with warrants for displaying a flase registration is back in the Brazos County jail facing his second Driving with an Invalid License charge.
Deputies with Brazos County stopped the car, which was flagged for an expired registration, last night near the Grimes County line. The report says 65 year old William Charles Evans was annoyed, and said the traffic stop was illegal.
Evans refused to provide insurance or his ID, but dispatch still managed to find two warrants in his name: one for Driving with an Invalid License, and the other for displaying a false registration.
He was taken to jail on the two warrants, and faces a new charge of Driving with an Invalid License with previous conviction. Evans remains in jail on bonds totaling $3,000.
