The City of Navasota has made the finals for another award, specifically for Washington Avenue.
The street is in the next round of voting for the America’s Main Street Contest, where the winner of the contest will receive $25,000 to put toward projects.
The contest is celebrating main streets as the “backbone” of cities and towns that play an important role in local economies.
Almost half a million votes were cast during the first round of voting, and the voting for the semifinalists runs through December 12th. The winner of the contest will be announced n December 20th.
